Students Talking

Carolina Planning’s Peer to Peer Program (P2P) is designed to help connect incoming students with current students and other academic and community resources. Before the start of the semester, incoming students are matched with current students based on interests, connections, and burning questions. From that point forward, current students assist incoming students with their transition beginning in late July through the start of the new school year.

Matthew Cohen-Price, a current first year, attests that his P2P match was incredibly helpful when moving to town. “That first conversation was wide-ranging, from where the best coffee shops in Carrboro are to what professional opportunities are out there and what classes to take to best prepare myself for them. It was nice to know at least one friendly face on Day 1, and I now consider my P2P match a good friend and ally.”
