DCRP’s Dr. William Rohe, former Cary C. Boshamer Distinguished Professor of City and Regional Planning and former Director of the Center for Urban and Regional Studies, received the Urban Affairs Association’s 2021 Contribution to the Field of Urban Affairs Award. The award recognizes Dr. Rohe for his interdisciplinary work and 25 years of leadership in planning research at the Center for Urban and Regional Studies.

Dr. Rohe’s work on Housing and Community Development has contributed 3 books and over 70 peer-reviewed articles to the planning field on the topics of housing and community development policy and practice. His nomination for the Contribution to the Field of Urban Affairs Award described how his work has shaped housing and community development research through exploration of “how people experience the impacts of policy.” His current projects include an evaluation of HUD’s Jobs Plus and Moving to Work Demonstrations.
