Quan Yuan is a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of City and Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. His research interests lie in urban transportation and land use, particularly in freight, parking, environmental sustainability, and transportation technology. Quan completed his doctoral dissertation titiled “Location of Warehouses and Environmental Justice: Three Essays” and received his Ph.D. in Urban Planning and Development from the University of Southern California. He got his Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng) from the Peking University and Master’s degree (MURP) from the University of California, Los Angeles. He has published articles in the Journal of Planning Education and Research, Urban Studies, Land Use Policy, Journal of Planning Literature, Transport Policy, and Natural Resources Forum.
