Call for Proposals: Department of City and Regional Planning Research Fund

Submission Deadline – Friday, November 15, 2019

The Department of City and Regional Planning is launching a pilot funding program that promotes research initiatives by tenure-track faculty in City and Regional Planning. Proposals to fund open access publications will also be considered.

Award amount: up to $7,500 may be requested. Funds must be expended within one year from the date of award (extensions will not be granted). Awards may not be used to fund faculty salary or benefits.

Who may apply: Tenure-track faculty in City and Regional Planning at UNC-CH.

Applications are due 11/15/2019, and recipients will be notified by 12/13/2019. Rolling applications will be accepted if funding remains.
Applications should be submitted using the online form here.

Priority will be given to assistant professors, research in areas with donor support (e.g., urban design, international research, land use), and early-stage work in new areas by established researchers.  Applications will be reviewed by DCRP faculty that did not apply for funding.
