Aviation Planner

Caltrans is seeking a motivated, curious and innovative planner to join the Caltrans Aeronautics Office of Aviation Planning. The planner will have a wide range of fascinating duties including assisting local airport land use commission oversee airport area land use planning, updating the California Aviation System Plan, evaluating proposed school sites, engaging with university based research partners, advocating for active transportation and intermodal connectivity at airports, emergency management and other interesting topics. The start date is flexible so graduating students as well as experienced planners are encouraged to apply.
