Operations Research Analyst II

Become an integral part of a team responsible for planning and evaluating Metro’s capital program! The Office of Capital Planning & Program Management is looking for inquisitive and driven candidates with the communication and data analysis skills to help Metro leadership make key investment decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in decision-making, utilize problem-solving skills, and collaborate with project managers, asset owners, and other stakeholders throughout the agency.

The experienced candidate will:
-Play a key role in gathering information for and communicating the annual capital planning process
-Work collaboratively with stakeholders across Metro to understand capital investment needs, impacts to agency operations, and potential gaps.
-Contribute to key documents and presentations to communicate capital priorities for Metro
-Use analytical tools creatively to evaluate investment needs and understand wider trends

Interested candidates will have a passion for public transportation, be adept at critical thinking and creative problem solving, and have experience analyzing complex issues and communicating them succinctly and effectively. Familiarity with capital program management and other capital infrastructure activities (at the state, local or federal levels), such as performance monitoring, planning, and budgeting would be an advantage.
