The successful candidate will perform a variety of complex administrative support tasks, office management, and technical assistance for the Planning Department and a variety of citizen advisory boards. Work requires a comprehensive understanding of the Planning department’s mission, rules, regulations, procedures, and services. Please review job spec for additional details at

Desirable Education and Experience:
Associate degree or two-year technical college supplemented by vocational or technical training, with at least one year of development review/zoning inspection experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Special Requirements:
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
Notary Public or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
Certified Zoning Official or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
