The purpose of our monthly gatherings is to provide support & connection for the women-identifying students and alumni of Carolina Planning.
Where are the meetings held?
We meet informally on the last Wednesday of every month. In an effort to get to know every marvelous corner of the Triangle, we rotate the location of our meet-ups every month between Chapel Hill-Durham-Raleigh. Our beloved Tiny Jane will flag you down if you’re having a hard time finding the group.
Who attends these get togethers, do recent alumnus attend?
Yes, there’s quite a network in the area. We’ve just celebrated our first year of get togethers! It’s free and informal, show up anytime you like (look for Jane on our table). With so many alumnus in the area, our network is growing….
What do you discuss at the Happy Hour?
We talk about everything. Our work, our families, our time at DCRP. Really there’s no structure, but we give each other career support, share employer experience, and discuss the status of planning in the region. We already know we have a common bond (through our time at DCRP), so we’re just looking to lend support and grow our network. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions. Join us!
