Job Search “Boot Camp” for Graduate and Professional Students in Humanities/Social Sciences

Humanities and Social Science Students – are you seeking a job/career beyond the tenure-track?  Come to this “boot camp” style workshop to get a taste of the process for career exploration/job search. This activity-filled program will touch on:

  • Self-assessment activities
  • Developing your “elevator pitch”
  • Building your professional network
  • The job application process/tools
  • Interviewing
  • Job offers and negotiation

You will get a taste of these topics, but will also learn about resources that offer a deeper dive into each area.

This event is sponsored by SHARE (Social science and Humanities Activities and Resources for Employment), a group of graduate students who want to engage with others around career decision making and the job search.
