This one-day virtual conference brings together policymakers, regulators, and leading researchers on the topic of physical climate risk to the U.S. financial system. From heatwaves and hurricanes to wildfires and high tide flooding, American property and infrastructure is increasingly exposed to damaging weather events. This is especially true for the economically vulnerable communities that are least equipped to cope. Chronic, longer-term shifts in temperature and other climate hazards are impacting productivity and performance across the economy. What role is there for U.S. financial regulators in managing the risks?
