Dr. Plough received a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs, where he also completed a Masters of Statistics. He holds a Masters in Environmental Policy from the University of Michigan’s School for Environment and Sustainability, as well as a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago. His research centers on climate hazard adaptation and socioeconomic determinants, with a methodological focus on applied statistical modelling and causal econometrics. He is currently a post doctoral researcher in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Coastal Resilience Center, and a lecturer in the Department of City and Regional Planning.
