Environmental Planner II

The time is right to join HNTB! We’re seeking an Environmental Planner II in our Raleigh, NC office.

Primary Focus Will Include:

• NEPA Document Preparation
• GIS Analyses
• Traffic Noise Model (TNM) studies
• Public Involvement

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s Degree in Planning or related field
• Other important skills are CADD and GIS proficiency
• Experience in Traffic Noise Analysis
• LEED Accredited Professional
• RLA, RA, PE registration or AICP, CEP certification

What You’ll Need

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists in directing small-scale planning projects and portions of larger projects from concept development through submission drawings.
• Coordinates with sub-consultants and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks. Some contact with clients.
• Prepares technical plans and reports, written reports on small to medium sized planning projects, scopes of work, fee proposals and responses to Request for Proposals.
• Final production of environmental documents, comprehensive plans and reports, graphics associated with public meetings, presentation drawings, reports, etc.
• Conducts research and detailed analysis of data.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Planning, Environmental Science or relevant field
• 2 years of relevant experience
