Position Purpose
Land Planners at McAdams collaborate with Planning and Design team and other market sectors within the firm to lead planning and entitlement projects while producing high quality designs, site layouts, due diligence reports, graphics, and materials related to development applications. Land Planners complete design and entitlement efforts for a wide variety of projects, including residential, commercial, mixed-use, institutional and healthcare. This role is expected to interface effectively with clients, both internal and external, and represent the project team during public meetings, rezoning hearings and with elected officials and others.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters of Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning or related field from an accredited program.
  • 5 to 8 years of related experience or in similar role.
  • Ability to work within a collaborative team environment and communicate effectively with project team and clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills.
  • Strong desire to be an integral part of a high growth firm and to develop and manage client experience.
  • Be committed to team success as well as personal career growth.
  • Possess excellent public speaking skills and demonstrated success in achieving entitlements from elected and appointed officials.
  • Possess excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferences

  • RLA Licensure or AICP Certification
