Raleigh Parks is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking professional who is passionate about making our city a better place to live. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of park development and planning projects that have a real impact on the communities that we serve.

The Park Planning Specialist will join a team of highly motivated planners and designers in the Park Development & Communications division of Raleigh Parks. Our department plays an essential role in fostering the quality of life that makes Raleigh such a great place to live, responsible for over 150 public parks and an ever-expanding network of greenway trails, community centers, art centers, athletic facilities, historic properties, playgrounds, lakes, nature preserves, and open spaces.

We manage a wide variety of park projects from long-range planning through design, permitting, and construction. Every step of the way, we work closely with community members to build authentic relationships and ensure that all people—no matter the color of their skin, age, gender, income level, or ability—have access to and feel welcome in the places, programs, and facilities that we provide.
