Planner I/Code Enforcement Officer

The Town of Nashville is seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Planner I/Code Enforcement Officer. This position performs highly responsible professional and technical level work in the field of planning, zoning, economic development, developmental plan review and geographic information systems. The Planner I/Code Enforcement Officer acts as a resource providing information and assistance to developers, the business community and the general public on all planning related matters; and is responsible for enforcement of the Town’s Code of Ordinances relating to land use and zoning.

Desirable Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in urban planning, geography, landscape architecture, computer sciences or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience in the planning field. Previous planning and GIS experience is desirable. Must possess Certified Zoning Official Certification or have the ability to obtain certification. Valid NC State Driver’s License is required.
