Description

The Intern will provide project support for the PNC Virtual Awards Program, acting as a liaison to property owners, scanning slides and other tasks as may be assigned during the summer.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as program assistant for the PNC Virtual Awards Program (50%)
    • The Intern shall work closely with the Outreach Manager, President and fundraising staff in the management of the PNC Virtual Awards Program.
    • Awards Program
      • Manage application process (collect and respond to award applicants).
      • Review and request additional information (images, contact information, etc.) from applicants/nominations.
      • Prepare Award Committee document (nomination summaries and presentations).
      • Prepare awards notifications and draft press releases (using in-house template).
      • Assist with creation of the presentations including final ceremony presentations.
      • Order the awards for the winners.
      • Other tasks as needed
  • Serve as liaison to property owners (40%)
    • Reach out to property owners to follow-up on recent mailings both via phone and email.
  • Scan photo slides and other tasks as requested (10%)
    • Working with the President, scan select slides (will require being in the Raleigh office).
    • Other task as requested.

Work location and schedule: 

This is a part-time hourly position (20 to 29 hours per week) at the PNC Headquarters Office in Raleigh. Primarily remote work with some in-office work. PNC’s business hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Qualifications:

Attention to detail and organizational skills are imperative; excellent oral and written communications skills; willingness to take initiative; outgoing and personable manner; ability to effectively communicate with property owners, staff, donors and the general public; knowledge of computer systems and data and word processing software including Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Access, Publisher and Adobe Photoshop, (Adobe Photoshop, Canva, Adobe Spark, etc.), and interest in historic preservation are a plus.
