Description
Seeking an individual who is social media savvy and has some experience in communication/PR to assist the Managing Director at the Center for Community Capital in the 2020-2021 academic year. Working closely with the Managing Director and Director of the Center, the Social Media Assistant will develop a social media strategy and resource guide to effectively disseminate the Center’s research and communicate with stakeholders on and off campus. This individual should be familiar with various social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter (prioritizing Twitter) and management software such as Hootsuite. Knowledge of WordPress and design software (eg. Canva, Indesign) would be a big plus, but not absolutely necessary. The work would vary in hours each week but averaging 2-5 hours per week. Typical Research Assistant rates would apply. There is some flexibility in when the work would happen, however, there may be some time sensitive work that will require a quick turnaround. Attending a weekly 1 hour staff meeting is a must.
