Michael (MRP & MPA ’11) will provide an overview of Google’s Transportation Program and how their programs contribute to reducing single-occupancy vehicle trips. His talk will touch on two major themes relevant for planners: the importance of transportation to Google’s real estate strategy, and the Bay Area’s challenges of land use and transportation coordination. Michael will also share how Google users data to drive decision making, operations and service planning for the “Google Bus”, and where the future of transportation is going.
