Learning to Network and Interview Successfully- Graduate Students

November 2, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Co-hosted by the Graduate School, Training Initiatives in Biological and Biomedical Science (TIBBS), and University Career Services.

Although most people realize the importance of networking and interviewing well for proactively managing their careers, many do not have a clear plan for doing so. Frankly, most people simply don’t have the time to create a plan—leading to an approach that is haphazard, at best. In this half-day workshop, three Ph.D.-level coaches present on how to network and interview successfully by encouraging participants to be intentional, authentic, and articulate in their networking and interviewing process. Equipped with those three tenets, job seekers become empowered and confident as they manage their careers and conduct a job search campaign.
