Analyst – Natural and Physical Resources Cost Estimates Unit

CBO’s Budget Analysis Division seeks an entry level analyst for its Natural and Physical Resources Cost Estimates Unit. The unit prepares multiyear budget projections and produces cost estimates for legislative proposals, focusing on the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Homeland Security, Interior, Justice, and Transportation, among others, and on various independent agencies, including the Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Communications Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Small Business Administration.

The analyst’s portfolio of program areas is likely to include programs administered by the Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, but the portfolio will be determined at the time of hiring.
