College Aide- Transit Policy Unit

Note that each position pays $19.90/hr full time for the summer and you must be able to work in our Lower Manhattan office minimum 1-2 days/week.

A selected candidate for College Aide in the Transit Policy unit of the Transit Development group will focus on a variety of planning and operational initiatives related to charting the long-range vision for bus priority projects and improving the user experience of riding the bus in New York City. Tasks may include GIS and data analysis in support of corridor prioritization for future bus lanes and busways, analysis related to accessible bus stops and the next generation of Real Time Passenger Information signs at bus stops, among other issues. Candidates will be expected to have a basic understanding of New York City geography and institutions, as well as ability to build and/or maintain large data sets.
