The Economic Development Manager will work under the supervision of the Associate Director of Economic Development to manage NCGrowth’s economic development research projects. The Economic Development Manager will have knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques for supporting business growth, facilitating entrepreneurship, and developing strategic plans. The Manager will be responsible for project management, supervising graduate student analysts, economic development research design and analysis, partnership development, and grant reporting.

This position requires excellent oral and written communication, knowledge of economic development principles and trends, knowledge of research methods and study design including data collection/analysis and interpreting/reporting results, ability to manage resources and monitor activities associated with the progression of multiple concurrent projects and programs, and ability to instruct, train and supervise graduate student analysts.
