Integrated Mobility Division Intern

The N.C. Department of Transportation Integrated Mobility Division is now accepting applications for the 2022-2023 Public Transportation Internship Program.

The program provides work experience and learning opportunities for students currently enrolled in a graduate level program at a college or university in North Carolina. The internship program strengthens the academic curriculums of participating schools and helps to develop a pool of qualified individuals for the state’s public transportation industry.

The Internship also provides students a chance to use analytical and communications skills that they have gained during their academic career in a public transportation setting. With hands-on training and experience, interns are better able to evaluate public transportation careers and compete for jobs.

Academic Majors Desired by Location

GoTriangle encourages applicants from Planning, City Planning, or Urban Planning to apply for this position. Engineering, Geography, Public Administration, Project Management, Business Administration, and similar majors are acceptable.

Qualified applicant must meet both the minimum requirements and all posted knowledge, skills and ability requirements to be considered qualified for the position.

Eligible candidates will be currently enrolled in a graduate level program, attending a college or university in North Carolina, and have an interest in public transportation or local/state government careers.
