Outdoor Recreation Planner

The State and Local Assistance Program of the National Park Service is hiring for multiple positions in the regional office in Omaha, NE. In partnership with the States, the NPS awards Land and Water Conservation Fund grants for projects to acquire and develop public land for a wide variety of state and local parks and other outdoor recreation areas. Program staff administer grants on a cradle-to-grave basis with their assigned states. Staff also work with their states on development and update of their 5-year state-wide comprehensive outdoor recreation plans, which are required for program eligibility.
