Permit Technician

Performs technical work to review applications and construction documents for the issuance of permits. Employees in this position are required to have knowledge of basic construction
principles including construction types and use groups as determined by the International Code Council (ICC) family of building codes. Employees in this class are responsible for routing of construction documents through the plan review process and ensuring that coordination of various agencies is accomplished and timelines are met in plan review turnaround. Employees in this position must obtain ICC Permit Technician certification within
12 months of employment.
