Planner I – Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Coordinator

Land of Sky Regional Council is seeking a motivated individual to fill a Regional Transportation Planner position. The position is responsible for kicking off a new Regional Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Program for the Land of Sky Region. They will also work with the Economic and Community Development Department to complete various transportation, land use, workforce development, and technical assistance work to member governments. The position will plan, organize and coordinate activities of the TDM program. This program will facilitate transportation demand management strategies to reduce employee travel demand and shift behavior away from single occupant vehicles. For example, the TDM program coordinator will be responsible for developing information regarding: charts on typical peak time drive times and transit trip times to major employment centers in the region; transit schedules, routes and fares and transportation schedules; carpools, vanpools and ridesharing; and bicycling and pedestrian safety tips for all users.
