Planner/Zoning Development Specialist

Professional work of intermediate difficulty. Primary focus in current planning projects, including processing land use permit applications, construction plans, final plats, and similar information, conducting research and analysis related to land use data, regulations, and/or land use ordinance text amendments. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree with major course work in urban planning, architecture, engineering, or related field, and considerable experience in urban planning. Prior experience processing or administering land use permit and/or text amendment applications, particularly using online development application platforms, is strongly desired. Experience with GIS also is desirable. Must have effective oral and written communication skills and be able to maintain working relationships with government officials, developers, and the general public.
