Description

Metro is seeking to fill a key mid-level position within the Office of Capital Program Management (OCPM). The Senior Program Coordinator will work in partnership with team members to identify and develop capital needs across Metro. If selected, you will have the opportunity to participate in a $2.3bn annual capital planning process and develop public-facing and executive level presentations and documents on capital projects and programs within Metro’s portfolio.

The candidates will:
-Take the lead on a select group of investment types in the annual capital planning process
-Meet with stakeholders across the organization to discuss and develop capital investment needs
-Develop strategies to address potential gaps in the program and ensure the coordination of investments
-Contribute to key documents to communicate the results of the capital programming process
-Facilitate the effective flow of communication during the annual capital planning process
Interested candidates will be able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Metro stakeholders at all levels of the agency and possess the problem-solving capabilities to develop and refine capital program investments. Ideal candidates will have project management experience, analytical skills, and confidence working with diverse audiences. Familiarity with transportation planning and other capital asset infrastructure activities (at the state, local, or federal levels) – such as programming, planning, management, and budgeting – would be an advantage

Minimum Qualifications:
Education – Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Management, Business or Public Administration or a related field
Experience – Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management and/or asset management lifecycle planning, progressively analyzing and coordinating business improvement projects in a large-scale organization. Experience at developing interactive and dynamic presentations
Preferred skills- Microsoft Project, Primavera, Clarity, Power BI, and SharePoint. Project Management Professional (PMP)
