Senior Transportation Planner

The City of Raleigh is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner to be primarily responsible for long range and comprehensive planning activities within Raleigh Transportation, including the review rezoning cases and amendments to the comprehensive plan. Sr. Transportation Planners also participate in other planning activities of the Transportation Strategy Group, such as transportation project conceptual design or participating in area and corridor plans. In addition, they may also serve as a lead worker, assigning work and monitoring work completion or may supervise professional, paraprofessional and/or support staff including conducting performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures. The Sr. Transportation Planner is the primary staff liaison to the Planning Commission from the Transportation Department.
