Description

Position Summary:

Soil health is a key principle of regenerative agriculture, and soil scientists have played an important role in the regenerative movement. Soil science research has been developing quickly in recent years, and we are looking for a soil science student who is as passionate about soil health as we are to help us keep track of the latest research.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct survey of research funding and policy priorities for soil health research at Historically Black Universities and Tribal Colleges.
  • Work closely with NRDC staff on the Water & Agriculture team throughout internship, attending team meetings and giving regular updates on research findings.

  • Good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Enthusiastic about soil health, familiar with the principles of soil health and regenerative agriculture.
  • Commitment to NRDC’s values and mission.
