Sustainability Planner

ODOTs new Climate Office is seeking a collaborative, passionate, program manager to lead the agency’s sustainability work and support mitigation and adaptation activities. ODOT formed the Climate Office in recognition of the need to reduce transportation greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and help the agency adapt to the impacts of climate, such as sea level rise and more intense rainfalls. The person in this position will work with all parts of the agency to establish and implement new practices in sustainability, and support mitigation and adaptation activities. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team leading cutting edge, and sometimes controversial, efforts.

The job: The sustainability planner is responsible for implementing and updating the ODOT Sustainability Plan, responding to executive orders related to sustainability, preparing sustainability reports and tracking metrics.

In this role, as the successful candidate, you will work across agency divisions and gain cooperation to complete sustainability tasks and gather data to compile reports.
