Description

The Intern will be developing a methodology to help DDOT identify critical trail gaps in the existing multi-use trail network. There are over 60 miles of multi-use trails for bicyclists and pedestrians throughout the District of Columbia. Strategy 22 of the MoveDC Plan, Build More Trails in the Capital Trails Network, requires DDOT to develop a methodology to measure the extent to which a project improves trail network connectivity.

Intern Skills:
– Experience in research and analysis skills to review document
– Proficiency in presentation, visual display and communication of data, including GIS
– Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite (Words, PowerPoint, and Excel).

Educational Background:
– graduate Students with general knowledge of transportation planning and interest in active transportation.
