DDOT Internship Program

As part of the District’s Department of Transportation (DDOT) cooperative agreement with the Howard University Transportation Research Center (HUTRC), DDOT engages full-time students as interns from universities in the DC Metropolitan Area and all over the country to promote the advancement of engineering and policy research. HUTRC recruits the interns and manages the program on DDOT’s behalf. In 2023, the DDOT Internship Summer Program will start around June 5th and run for 10 weeks, while the Semester Program will start on August 14th and run until the end of the year. *Check the list of 2023 internships on the right hand side of the website. Opportunities include internships working on trails, protected bike lanes, freight, bus priority and more.
