Description
A successful applicant will reach out to diverse communities, representing a board cross section of race and ethnicity in the District of Columbia, to paint an essayistic picture of the human impact of traffic violence.
As part of the District’s Department of Transportation (DDOT) cooperative agreement with the Howard University Transportation Research Center (HUTRC), DDOT engages full-time students as interns from universities in the DC Metropolitan Area and all over the country to promote the advancement of engineering and policy research. HUTRC recruits the interns and manages the program on DDOT’s behalf.

In 2021, the DDOT Internship Summer Program will start around June 1st and run for 10 weeks, while the Semester Program will start on August 17th and run until the end of the year. Applicants for the internship positions must be currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university and be enrolled full-time in a degree program related to the posted internship.
