Description
The Governor’s Entrepreneurship Council (“GEC”) has launched the North Carolina Entrepreneur Corps (link). This program is designed specifically to engage college students throughout the state in making NC government more entrepreneurial. Students will work together to solve key challenges identified by the NC Department of Information and Technology. Students may apply as teams or as individuals and will be grouped together to work remotely as entrepreneurship teams. Each team will be assigned both an entrepreneurial mentor from the GEC and a technical mentor from NCDIT. Over the semester (Feb-April 2020), students will go through the entrepreneurial process including idea generation, concept development, customer feedback, and creation of a final product. At the conclusion of the semester, the teams will present their projects and meet and take pictures with the Governor. Unfortunately, time is of the essence, as applications for this initiative are due December 31. Apply at website: https://governor.nc.gov/issues/north-carolina-entrepreneur-corps
