Transportation Planning Intern

Do you have an interest in working for local government and a passion for bike, pedestrian, and greenway planning? Cary’s Transportation Department, which oversees a variety of civil engineering and transportation planning projects, is seeking a summer intern in transportation planning, civil engineering, city planning, landscape architecture, or a related field. This position will perform administrative, technical, research and data collection work supporting project managers. A key project in this role will be assisting with Cary’s Bike and Micromobility Plan development, an exciting initiative which began this year.

This is a seasonal internship for approximately 20-25 hours/week. The position will be available in May 2023 through August 2023. This position is located in Cary’s Town Hall with occasional telework days.
