AECOM is actively seeking an Entry-Level Planner for immediate employment in the Raleigh, NC office.
This Entry-Level Planner will support AECOM’s North Carolina Transportation Planning Group on a variety of studies including transportation planning, transit, active transportation, resilience, project development (NEPA/SEPA) and environmental permitting.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supporting planning studies and reports for new and updated plans, programs and regulations.
Preparing written documents, summarize information collected by others, and assemble reports.
Conducting planning assessments using analytical tools such as GIS to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop documentation to summarize results
Collecting a variety of statistical data and prepares reports and maps on topics, such as census information, land use, transportation tax base data and occupancy rates.
Providing information to the public regarding development regulations.
Assisting in resolving citizen and customer issues.
Under direct supervision, conducting field evaluations and assessments.
Collaborating with project teams in the preparation of transportation plans, including regional plans, transit studies and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents and reports
Gathering data and conduct analysis of data for use in projects and for decision making
Preparing planning deliverables, including high quality graphics, reports, and web-based products
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Urban/City and Regional Planning, Urban Studies, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, Transportation, Engineering, or related field
Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent writing and communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as in multi-disciplinary teams
Competence in Geographic Information Systems software (GIS), including ArcGIS Pro
Adobe Creative Suite
